Synopsis

Alexandre Calçada

Born in Faro, in 1992. He began his professional activity during his adolescence, during summer holidays and weekends, in the hotel industry, and later worked in nightclubs in the Algarve region, also during holidays , already as a theater student. In 2014, she completed her degree in Interpretation at the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo of the Instituto Politécnico do Porto (ESMAE-IPP). He worked with directors such as António Durães, Marco Martins, Jorge Castro Guedes, Paulo Calatré, Fernando Mora Ramos, Kate Craddock and Nuno Carinhas. Through the Erasmus program he worked as an actor in two films made in Newcastle, England, United Kingdom. Still in Cinema, he participates in the short film “Dentro” by João Nuno Faria. He has some work with National fiction producers: Plural Entertainment, in the soap operas “Santa Bárbara”, “Massa Fresca” and “Jogo Duplo”; and at SP Produções, in the soap opera “Paixão”. He began collaborating with Teatro do Noroeste-CDV in 2018, in the show "A Estalajadeira”, by Carlo Goldoni, directed by Ricardo Simões. He participated in the Summer School for Actors, coordinated by Guillermo Heras, in 2019, 2020 and 2021, having trained with Alexandra Moreira da Silva, Isabel Barros, João Henriques and Carlos Avilez. In the company's resident cast since 2019, he was part of the cast of the shows “Farsa de Mestre Patelin”, by João Mota (co-creation with A Comuna); “Rottweiler ”, “Mysterious Eggs”, “A Noite”, directed by Ricardo Simões; “O Gato Malhado e a Andorinha Sinhá”, directed by Tiago Fernandes; “Falar Verdade a Mentir”, directed by António Capelo; “Hantígona”, directed by Guillermo Heras; and “Memory, Memory, History Begins!”, by Graeme Pulleyn. In addition to being an actor, he is also a production assistant at the Company; trainer in the Regular Theater Workshops of the Community of the Northwest Theater Project-CDV, as well as monitor in the holiday theater workshops of the Company's Educational Service. 


Marta Bonito

Actress and creator. She attended the Social and Human Sciences course (FCSH) and the master's degree in Literary, Cultural and Interarts Studies (Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto). He completed the Acting course at Drama Studio London in 2018. In theater, the projects Spicy White (2022) directed by Josh Hinds, Pains of Youth (2018) by Helen Tennison, Barulheira (2015) directed by João Sousa Cardoso and Katzelmacher stand out. (2012) directed by Luís Araújo and Ricardo Braun. In performance/movement, Trojan Horse (2015), co-created with André Mendes, Suite nº1 ABC by Joris Lacoste (2014) and Bodies in Urban Spaces (2013) by Willi Dorner stand out. In cinema A Ronda da Noite by João Sousa Cardoso (2013), The Girl from Berlin by Bruno de Freitas Leal (2014), Som by Alex Turvey (2015) and Six Days After Forever by Yoi Kawakubo (2022). She is currently developing the solo My body is not your country with its premiere scheduled for the end of 2022 in London.

Ricardo Simões

Director

1979, Viana do Castelo. Degree in Artistic and Cultural Management. IPVC/DGES-MCES Academic Merit Scholarship holder, in 2009/2010 and in 2010/2011. He completed a PhD in Cultural Studies at the Universities of Minho and Aveiro, with a Specialization in Sociology of Culture. Guest judge in Professional Aptitude Tests, ACE-Porto (2018) and Balleteatro (2019, 2021, 2022). Professional actor since 1997, he completed 1 year of training at OficinActores - Nicolau Breyner Produções - Lisbon. In more than 65 creations at Teatro do Noroeste-CDV from 1997 to 1999 and from 2006 to date he has been: actor; production and staging assistant; communication; director and resident playwright from 2013 to 2015. Collaborated and/or promotes collaborations with: ACERT; ACTA-Algarve; Artimage; Commune; Night School; United Artists; Iberian Performing Arts Circuit (Spain); CTA-Almada; CTB-Braga; Cendrev-Évora; Centro Dramático Galego (Spain); European Theater Convention (Berlin); Mindelact Festival (Cape Verde); FITEI; UNESCO International Theater Institute (Paris/Shanghai); LU.CA; Gang; Teatrão; Sap Troupe; Teatro das Beiras; Fontenova Theater; TEC-Cascais; TEP-Porto; Porto Municipal Theatre; S. Since 2014, he has written, performed and/or staged: “Scenes from the Life of the Maias"; "While We Navigated"; "A Casa do Rio"; "24A74-Salgueiro Maia"; "Blood Wedding”; "Peter's Dream”; "The Inn"; "Mysterious Eggs"; “Rottweiler”; “But someone asked me if I wanted to go to the theater?!”; “Noites de Caxias”; "At night". In 2017, he created the Viana do Castelo Theater Festival, which he directs. He has been artistic director of Teatro Noroeste-Centro Dramático de Viana since September 2015. 


Adriel Filipe

Assistant Director

Born in 1993 in Brazil. He was a child photography and catwalk model. Arrived in Portugal in April 2009, he took the Sociocultural Animation Technician Course at Escola Secundária de Monserrate, Viana do Castelo, which he completed in 2012. In 2010 he joined the cast of an amateur theater group in Santa Marta de Portuzelo (Grupo Parnassus ) and participated in several theatrical initiatives and projects on an amateur or independent basis. He made his professional debut at Teatro do Noroeste-CDV in 2011, in the show "Ecos Verdes", by Castro Guedes. In 2012, he participated in a Theater Masterclass with the actor João Grosso, as well as later, he took other training in acting, with Pedro Giestas and Guilhermo Heras. He participated in several editions of the Summer School for Actors, with trainers Guilhermo Heras, João Mota, Olga Roriz, Alexandra Moreira da Silva, Isabel Barros, João Henriques, Teresa Lima, Ricardo Simões, Nuno Cardoso, Antonio Simón, among others . He was part of the resident cast of Teatro do Noroeste-CDV between January 2014 and December 2019, having participated in the shows “João e o Pé de Feijão”, “A Vida Trágica de Carlota, a Filha da Engomadeira”, “O Gato das Botas ", "Viva o Casamento", "Pinocchio" and "Perdição", by Fernando Gomes; "Little Desolate Pieces" and "Blood Wedding", by Guilhermo Heras; "Anjo Branco" and "(I)migrantes", by Graeme Pulleyn; “A Estalajadeira” and “A Noite” by Ricardo Simõers, among other productions by the Company until 2018/2019. Since 2020, due to a challenge from the Artistic Director, he has mainly held the role of Executive Producer, being in charge of organizing, implementation and monitoring of the Company's creation, reception and circulation processes, including and with emphasis on the Viana do Castelo Theater Festival; as well as the maintenance and coordination between the Company's workspaces, reporting to the Management Advisory, the Artistic Direction and to the Management of Teatro do Noroeste - Centro Dramático de Viana.


João Grisantes

Videografia

Born in Viana do Castelo. Degree in Cinema, Video and Multimedia Communication from the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies - Lisbon, 2014. Honorable Mention at the Index Festival, short film “Shiva”, in 2012. Winner of the “I Love My City” photography competition on CBS Outdoor , with a photo displayed on the digital panels of the London Underground and winner of the Manchester Pale Ale “Alternative Summer” photography competition in 2013. The main focus of his career involves working in a creative environment, which allows him to put his ideas or ideas into practice. the ideas of a group. His initial contact with the world of theater came at the hands of director Castro Guedes, with whom he collaborated as a stage photographer/videographer in his theater company Dogma12, in 2012. He trained as an Archivist at Cinemateca Portuguesa in 2014. He emigrated to England in 2014 and, until 2020, he worked as a freelancer in video and photography, having also been a Localization Quality Assurance Tester at SEGA. He returned to Portugal (Viana do Castelo) in 2020 and, in 2021, responded to a job offer and was hired as a Multimedia Technician at Teatro do Noroeste - CDV, with the role of creating images for content production by the Communication department of the Company. All recordings of shows in photographic and video format, as well as the production of images for promotional purposes are his own, and he also works with an external graphic design service. He followed the process of creating the website www.tmsm.pt which he monitors, reporting faults to the maintenance company and monitoring their resolution. Following the 70% reduction in the production of paper materials that the Company adopted in 2021, he proposed to the Artistic Director the creation of show notebooks in digital format. Having been approved, he designed the Cadernos do Noroeste, published at notebooksdonoroeste.pt.
